Happy Day!

fall outfit3

What are your Thanksgiving plans? Staying in? Travelling to family? Whatever it is, I hope you are enjoying some time off work, relaxing, and eating some delicious food!

Here are some links I am currently scrolling through:

Eggnog French toast? Count me in

This mama is one of my favorite "say it how it is" bloggers-always a refreshing read, and...her kid is pretty dang cute

These are on my wish list, as well as this beauty

Has anyone tried this miracle face oil? I'm intrigued. I use this one nightly (and love it), but am wondering if I should switch it up

Have a happy holiday Y'all

House Progress

Life has been busy lately as new homeowners. The DIY projects have been nonstop! But we are loving it, and are enjoying making this place feel more like home.

We finally gave in and paid to have the house painted. We love the way it turned out, and that it only took about 3 days (who knows how long it would have taken if we did it on our own).

As you can see we still have a lot of yard maintenance to do, but we are so excited with the way the paint color turned out. We chose the color "Castle Path," by Behr, and the trim is Benjamin Moore "Shadow White." It has just enough Taupe to keep the color from being too grey.

The view from the backyard-before on bottom, after on top.
you can see where we were testing paint colors in the before picture :)

This weekend, we built and painted a new gate. I could not be more excited about the results. C came up with the gate plan on his own by looking at a few different DIY sites, and it turned out to be exactly what we wanted.

Gate Before (super nasty, and rotted out):

Gate After:

We primed and then painted it in "shadow white," to match our trim. I'm loving the pops of black from the hinges, and the craftsman feel that it gives the house.

I found a similar gate tutorial here if you are in the market for one!

What have you been DIY-ing? Feel free to share in the comments.
 Have a great week!
